A Holocaust survivor in DC spoke to a Syrian refugee living in the Tempelhof Airport Hanger in Berlin, which had been built under the Nazi regime. The Holocaust survivor recounted how her family had been saved by a Muslim Imam during World War II and the Syrian refugee remarked on the power of German society offering him and his family a place to resettle as a contemporary dictator was killing its own citizens.
