You can find the Portal at:

Sand Creek Library: 1821 S Academy Blvd, Colorado Springs, CO 80916

The Colorado Springs Portal is currently at Sand Creek Library. In addition to books, computers, patron programs and meeting spaces, Sand Creek Library has a Makerspace and Recording Studio providing patrons access to a wide variety of resources and equipment while promoting creativity, inventiveness, education, and collaboration.

Pikes Peak Library District (PPLD) is a nationally-recognized system of public libraries serving a population of more than 650,185 in El Paso County, Colorado. With fourteen facilities, online resources, and mobile library service, PPLD responds to the unique needs of individual neighborhoods and the community at large. PPLD has an employee base of around 480 full- and part-time staff, and utilizes roughly 2,000 volunteers. It strives to reach all members of the community, providing free and equitable access to information and an avenue for personal and community enrichment.

The Portal is coordinated in Colorado by Imagination Celebration, a nonprofit connecting people of all ages to the brain-stimulating, life-enhancing, community-building power of creativity by inspiring artistic and intellectual curiosity; instigating community collaborations, and promoting life-long experiential learning to help us thrive in a changing world.  This pop-up public arts installation connects people of all walks of life around the globe - taking us to places that we may never travel to, other than through this Portal.

One Imagination Celebration program, the What IF…Festival,  celebrates lifelong learning and engages the community with the innovation, creativity, and the entrepreneurial spirit of the Pikes Peak region.  The What IF… Festival, is a silo-busting, bridge-building, event fostering intellectual vitality by welcoming participants to creatively engage with businesses, nonprofits, artists, scientists, engineers, performers, athletes, educators, ranchers/farmers, architects, tinkerers, visionaries and students of all ages.  The What IF Festival was the first opportunity for public engagement with the Portal in Colorado Springs.
