It’s been a busy July with new launches and special events from Andover to Athens and beyond. Catch up on the latest.
Over the coming months, we will launch a new initiative to expand dialogues within the United States around the world. We will create Portal Buses to travel across the United States, connecting thousands of Americans to one another, from a Native American reservation to a Miami nightclub to a playground in Oklahoma City. We will also connect all of these sites to our global network, which includes refugee and IDP communities abroad.
Google for Entrepreneurs is bringing Portals to the 2016 Global Entrepreneurship Summit in Silicon Valley (June 22-24) and connecting attendees to entrepreneurship hubs around the world in London, Mexico City, and Seoul. Enter a Portal and connect with policy makers, entrepreneurs, and innovators in a distant location, as if in the same room. Share big ideas. Get a different perspective. Collaborate with a new friend.
This summer, we're opening a new wave of Portals in Boston, London, Seoul, Stanford and New York City with partners including the United Nations, the Aspen Ideas Festival, and Google! This post is just to put all of the updates in one place!
Shared_Studios is honored to partner with the United Nations Department of Public Information, the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals Action Campaign, UNICEF Jordan, UNHCR, and Bridges of Understanding to bring a Portal back to the United Nations Headquarters in New York City on June 20, 2016 – World Refugee Day.
