SXSW is a festival in Austin Texas with more than 30 years of history. Business leaders, entrepreneurs, and investors gather at SXSW to promote new technologies, art, culture, music and cinema. In one week SXSW with more than 350 thousand people from 89 countries. Last year, SXSW’s social media reached over 78.7 million people. Our Portal Screen at Casa Mexico connects to our Portal at Museo Tamayo in Mexico City. Each day there will be concerts, performances, classes, dances, cocktail hours and more.

Grand Park will host a two-week long chat with the world. Audiences can sign up for an appointment to speak with someone around the world about life, food, family, the weather or any other topic they want to discuss with the opportunity to gain a new perspective on other communities far away. The portals are gold shipping containers equipped inside with immersive audio and video technology. Individuals can meet face-to-face with someone in a distant portal and have real-time conversations as if he or she were in the same room. Each portal is staffed by a Portal Curator who provides translation as needed. Grand Park’s Writers’ Workshops and Lunchtime Concerts will be “broadcast” during this timeframe so that participants in other portal locations can enjoy these events from afar.
For one week in October 2016, Chicago Ideas and Comcast brought a Portal to Daley Plaza for Chicago Ideas Week 2016, one of the world's largest gatherings for the exploration of ideas in policy, entertainment, sports, and entrepreneurship.
Founded in 2011, the annual DC Palestinian Film and Arts Festival (DCPFAF) is a 501c3 nonprofit, volunteer-run enterprise that showcases the work of Palestinian filmmakers and artists around the world to audiences in the Washington DC metro area.
For the 2015 UN General Assembly, the 2016 UN General Assembly, and through the summer of 2016, Portal Screens and Portal Containers connected United Nations diplomats and visitors to Portal locations around the world from an IDP camp in Erbil, Iraq to a public square in Mexico City, Mexico.
In June 2016, Google for Entrepreneurs brought Portals to the 2016 Global Entrepreneurship Summit in Silicon Valley and connected attendees at the conference to entrepreneurship hubs around the world in London, Mexico City, and Seoul. Individuals entered a Portal and connected with policy makers, entrepreneurs, and innovators at distant locations, as if in the same room.
Our Portal at On Cue connected leading minds around the world. By realizing human potential, things become faster, better, or just more beautiful and so the world gets a little bit better. On Cue seeks great people with bold ideas that dare to create new standards. The event was a gathering of extraordinary leaders and thinkers who came together for one single day of connectivity and inspiration.
