SXSW is a festival in Austin Texas with more than 30 years of history. Business leaders, entrepreneurs, and investors gather at SXSW to promote new technologies, art, culture, music and cinema. In one week SXSW with more than 350 thousand people from 89 countries. Last year, SXSW’s social media reached over 78.7 million people. Our Portal Screen at Casa Mexico connects to our Portal at Museo Tamayo in Mexico City. Each day there will be concerts, performances, classes, dances, cocktail hours and more.
Our Portal in Mexico City has moved around town, garnered major national press, and hosted celebrities including Telenovela stars. We are now in Platoon Mexico, a global creative collective based in Berlin, Mexico City and Seoul with more than 7,500 members. The Mexico Portal is run in partnership with Time Out Mexico, the largest arts, culture and entertainment guide in Mexico. Since 2015, the Portal has moved to numerous sites including Plaza Villa Madrid, one of the most iconic neighborhoods in Mexico City, and Arte Alameda, a space dedicated to the exhibition, documentation, production, and research of artistic practices that relate to technology.
El Centro de Cultura Digital se dedica a la producción, formación, comunicación y reflexión sobre nuevas manifestaciones culturales, sociales y económicas, que surgen a partir del uso cotidiano de la tecnología digital. Nuestra visión se enfoca en los posibles futuros de la producción cultural a partir del presente fenómeno de penetración de tecnologías digitales en nuestro país. / Centro de Cultura Digital (CCD) is located in the heart of Mexico City, right outside Chapultepec park and it specializes in production, formation, communication and analysis of new cultural, social and economic manifestations that are a result of the daily use of digital technology.
