Logistics and Operations Coordinator

Shared_Studios is looking to hire a full-time Logistics and Operations Manager to start immediately. This hire will coordinate installation logistics, develop a comprehensive
inventory tracking system, manage Portal maintenance, and coordinate with on-site venue contacts. While this position has a flexible location, successful candidates will spend at least 50% of their time in New York City. Responsibilities

  • Coordinate logistics for Portal
    installations from contract phase through completion

  • Function as liaison between Shared_Studios, subcontractors, and client site
    teams

  • Set milestones for clients and sites, providing them with clear and timely
    information regarding installation, lighting, and site equipment needs

  • Identify, build, and maintain an active roster of builders, installers, and
    transporters, both domestic and international

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive inventory tracking system for
    existing Portals as well as warehoused technology

  • Liaise with long and short-range trucking and transport companies; coordinate shipping; liaise with Portal builders

  • Undertake broad managerial responsibility for the installation and de-installation of Portals around the globe

  • Occasionally troubleshoot technical issues with staff around the globe 

  • General assessment of processes and recommendations for streamlining Shared_Studios' work

Requirements

  • 1-2 year(s) experience in coordination role with international logistics,
    operations, or transportation. 

  • Monthly travel to NYC

  • Self-starter with stellar organization, communication, and time management
    skills

  • Basic knowledge of construction and installation terminology

  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. occasionally

  • Willingness to occasionally work at unusual hours

  • Superior attention to detail; diligence in problem-solving and project
    completion

  • Willingness to assess and propose streamlining of activation process

  • Willingness to travel to new Portal sites to supervise and coordinate installation

  • Entrepreneurial, self-motivated, and oriented towards problem-solving

  • Ability to think quickly and react to sudden logistical changes
