Shared Studios began in 2014 as an art project, transforming humble shipping containers in New York and Tehran into immersive Portals which sparked powerful conversations across divides.
From that seed, we have grown into a global network that bridges distance and difference through transformative, live dialogue.
Through Portals we’ve brought world leaders like Barack Obama and Ban Ki-moon, institutions like the United Nations and Google, and global events like the World Cup and COP, into conversation with refugees, artists, thought leaders, and entrepreneurs to explore the world’s most urgent challenges.
